Connectors and links - presentation and access

The difference between a link and a connector is as follows:

• A link is a simple redirection towards a website or a specific page on a website.
• A connector forwards a user's authentication to another site so they don’t have to sign in a second time. This type of link can only be used with certain websites. Contact Assistance for the list of connectors available on your platform.

To view the connectors and links available for your school from the Services menu, click on the Connectors tab.

The list of available connectors will appear. This list contains:

• Connectors that are shared with other schools (1), as indicated by the link symbol;
• Locked connectors whose configuration and attribution cannot be edited without unlocking them, as indicated by the padlock symbol (2).

If the connector you want to add is already in the list, you do not have to create it again. All you have to do is assign it to your users (see Assigning a connector to users in your school)
