You can create a new connector or a simple link that users can access from their applications with this interface.
The difference between a link and a connector is explained in Connectors and links.
From a configuration perspective, a connector is a link with additional settings. We will start by explaining how to add a link to the applications page. We’ll then show how you can add the extra settings you need to create a connector.
Creating a link
To create a new link, click on the Create a connector button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
In the creation form that appears, all you have to do is fill out the fields in the Icon and Link settings sections
Icon
There are several ways to pick an icon for your link (1)
- Upload an image from your device: drag-and-drop the image or select it by clicking on the Browse button.
The image you upload to create an icon must be square. Otherwise, the icon displayed in the applications will be cut off.
- Use an image from online: Copy the URL of the image you want and copy it into the Icon URL field.
Link settings
Fill out the Link settings (2) section as follows:
- Username: This is the technical username that will be used in the Admin Console. It must be unique.
- Display name: This is the name that will be used with and visible to other users.
- URL: Add the link to the website you would like to redirect the user towards.

Target: Select New page if you want the link to be displayed in a new tab, Page if you want it to be displayed in the current tab, or Iframe if you want it to appear in a window that is built into the VLE (Iframe does not work with all connectors mode).
Creating the link
Click on the Create button (3) to confirm the new link.
