Changes made to communication rules will affect not just the user, but also every other member of the selected group. |
Section A: Who can the user communicate with
In this section, when you click on a user group (left-hand column), you can:
- See the membership list of the user's group (1). Just click on the button in the top right-hand corner of the group inset. The list of group members will be displayed in a new tab.
- Add communication rights to a group that the user belongs to (2). To do this, click on the Add communication rights button in the group inset, then select the new group with which the user's group can now communicate. After confirmation, the added group will appear in the list of groups the user can see in the right-hand column.
- Configure internal visibility between group members (3). All you have to do is click on the slider at the bottom of the group inset. In some cases, especially when two groups already have communication rights with each other, you cannot activate this feature. Instead, you will receive an error message directing you to contact Assistance.
- See the membership list of the group(s) the user can see through the group the user belongs to (4). Just click on the button in the top right-hand corner of the group inset. The list of group members will be displayed in a new tab.
- Remove communication rights from a group the user can see through the group the user belongs to(5). Click on the Remove communication rights button in the inset for the group. After confirmation, the deleted group will no longer appear in the list of groups the user can see in the right-hand column.
- Configure the internal visibility between members of a group that the user can see through the group the user belongs to (6). All you have to do is click on the slider at the bottom of the inset for the group the user can see. In some cases, especially when two groups already have communication rights with each other, you cannot activate this feature. In this section, when you click on a user group (right-hand column), you can:

To do this, click on the Add communication rights button in the inset of the user’s group, then select the group that will now be allowed to communicate with the user's group. After confirmation, the added group will appear in the list of groups that can see the user in the left-hand column.

You can only edit groups affiliated with a school for which you are a local administrator. A padlock icon will appear when you cannot edit a group’s configuration. |
