Depending on which options you choose, the Export accounts tab in the Import/Export menu lets you create a file with a list of users. As the administrator, you can then save the file on your computer. This file is a CSV (Comma Separated Value) text file and can be opened in any spreadsheet program (Microsoft Excel, Open Office Calc, etc.).
To configure the export , select the type of export you want as well as which Class, Profile, and User Activation Status filter options you want to include in the export.
Next, click on the Export button to create the CSV file.
Classic export (A) files contain the following information:
- ID: The user's external username. It is used to identify a user in CSV imports.
- Type: User profile
- Last name
- First name
- Username : Custom login
- Login name: Username in the form of first name.last namePersonalized username
- Activation code: Entered when the user account is not yet activated. It is empty when the user account has already been activated.
- Function(s): Functions for staff or subjects taught for teachers
- Structure(s): User's school(s)
- Class(es): User's class(es)
- Child(ren): User’s child(ren) (parents only)
- Parent(s): User’s parents(s) (students only)
Year transition export (B) files is a type of export format that is compatible with CSV account imports.
