To access the Managing groups menu, click on the Groups menu in the banner in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
There are three main types of groups visible in this menu.
The first two are automatically managed through institutional data. Those automatically created groups cannot be edited from the managing groups section:
- Profile groups are created automatically based on the user profile combined with their school or class affiliation. For each of the five profiles, there is one school group and as many class groups as there are classes.
- Functional groups are created for students and teacher based on a user's affiliation to a teaching group. These groups primarily include secondary school students.
- You can create and edit Manual groups.
This section in the Admin Console allows the local administrator to:
- Consult the groups of the institution and review their composition.
- Set up communication rules for the institution's groups.
- Manage manual groups.
